Justin D. Farmer is a lawyer, licensed real estate broker, and entrepreneur. As a lawyer, Justin has served as an Assistant Attorney General, private practitioner, and legal recruiter. He first attended the University of Washington where he received a Bachelor of Science having studied Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance.
Justin then attended Seattle University Law School where he served on the Student Bar Association as President and Treasurer, participated in Moot Court competitions, clerked for a Superior Court Judge, worked for a boutique real estate and business law firm, and interned with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and Department of Assigned Counsel.
After graduation, Justin served as an Assistant Attorney General in Olympia where he acted as “in-house” counsel to Washington’s largest state agency and provided advice to various “business” divisions within the organization. He also has several years of business law experience, both transactional and litigation work. Justin has extensive experience as a legal recruiter and has mentored countless young professionals on the art of networking and career transitions.
Justin formed the model that would later become Private Practice Transitions, Inc. in 2012 after having gone through the arduous task of vetting a private practice that he intended to purchase. Justin has combined his passion for business, entrepreneurial spirit, and business experience to form Private Practice Transitions.
Tanya Farmer is a project manager with over ten years of experience in the commercial sector working as an owner’s rep in the healthcare construction industry. Tanya first attended Central Washington University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and then continued on to Seattle Pacific University where she earned her Master’s Degree.
Tanya has extensive experience managing scope, schedule and budget while leading countless multi-million-dollar construction projects over the course of her project management career. Now, Tanya has joined Private Practice Transitions to use her project management skills to help clients navigate through their professional transitions. Tanya focuses on the escrow and financing phases of “the deal” and handles all of the operations for Private Practice Transitions.
Christopher S. Imus, MBA is a business broker and consultant for Private Practice Transitions, a specialized brokerage firm focusing on mergers, acquisitions and business development for small/medium professional service businesses. Chris studied International Relations, Global Business at the University of Southern California before transferring and completing his degree at the University of Washington.
Chris is a licensed broker, real estate investor, entrepreneur and avid golfer. Growing up in a family of CPA’s, Chris has found a natural fit on the Private Practice Transitions team as the lead broker for the financial services sector. His past experience, coming from a business technology sales background with Verizon has allowed Chris to be a valued resource for businesses looking to modernize, find more efficient processes and drive revenue through the implementation of new technologies. His passion for helping others, goal oriented approach and curious nature; make Chris an ideal asset to his clients and Private Practice Transitions.

Having also run her own CPA firm, Ann is knowledgeable with regard to what it takes to run, grow, and transition, a private practice. Ann’s broad background with small and large clients; working in both large and small firms gives her great perspective and insight into the needs of Private Practice Transitions’ clients. Justin and Ann will work together to “review your books” in preparation for the transition of your private practice.
Ann Guinn is a Practice Management Consultant with more than 30 years of experience advising small business owners.
